The hardness tester is a compact vertical load testing machine for tablets. The instrument is equipped with a microcontroller-based circuit, specially designed to measure the hardness of tablets sequentially.
 
The tablet to be tested is placed in the area between two jaws, the upper plunger and the lower table. The bottom base is fixed and attached to cell phone charging. In the first step, 'Tablet Hold' vertical mechanical plunger is moved down and the tablet is holding between the plunger and the bottom base. In the next step, 'Test Starts', the vertical plunger moves down and crushes the tablet between the two jaws. The tablet fractured and the fracture load (hardness) is displayed on the two-line informational LCD. After the test, the plunger returns to the preset position and waits for the next tablet to test. The broken pieces of the tablets are collected in a tray located under the unit.
