The instrument is designed for accurate estimation of melting point automatically and these melting points are displayed on front panel. The unit consists of built-in miniature furnace, a digital temperature indicating circuitry with necessary controls and an air circulating arrangement. The furnace is precisely constructed to form a uniform heating media, having an arrangement to hold capillary containing sample. Microprocessor based circuitry automatically controls rate of heating in steps. The change in transparency of the sample at the melting point is accurately sensed and displayed on digital readout.
The range of the instrument is 40 deg C to 300 deg C. Readability is 0,1 deg C, with accuracy: + 0.1%.
It is generally used to estimate the melting points of organic substances and is suitable for quality control and research laboratories of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, foods and various other industries.
