Scratch Tester

This is a suitable apparatus for carrying out test relating to resistance to scratching under a specified load of a dried film of the paint and is used in testing paints, varnish, lacquer and related products. This is most suitable for research work or for larger laboratory and industries where repetitive quality control tests are carried out.

The results achieved are however, more reproducible since the human element is eliminated in this model. In this instrument the sliding panel is driven by a CONSTANT SPEED synchronous motor at a rate of 3 to 4 cms. per second. The procedure of operation is similar with hand operated scratch tester.
